What Happened To Our Turkey Hill?

A couple of weeks ago many of us awoke to fire sirens going off at 2:00 AM only to find out the next morning that Parkesburg's most reliable source for cold drinks and friendly chatter had been destroyed by fire

Here are the links explaining what happened, who is suspected of being responsible and whether our Turkey Hill will reopen:

Parkesburg Fire Company 28's story and pictures of the crime scene: Tower/Ladder 28 and Engine 28 Run First Due Store Fire

$1.1 million damage from store arson  read the headlines the next day in the Daily Local.

And then a couple of days later on May 20th this short piece Preliminary hearing for alleged Turkey Hill arsonist

The next day in what has to be one of the most comical appearance ever in front of a District Justice, the suspected arsonist has the audacity to demand a hearing in front of Justice Nancy Gill saying he was"comfortable with her." You can read the story here: Judge advises accused arsonist: Find a lawyer.  Be sure to read the last two comments submitted in response to the article to gain a better understanding of the suspected arsonist.

Good news is that Turkey hill will reopen the store.  Parkesburg Borough has issued all the permits Turkey Hill needs to rebuild and refurbish the interior of the store.  Stay tuned for a 'Grand Opening' announcement.
