Gap Alfalfa Field Provides "Soft" Landing for Father, Daughter Duo

A father and his 9 year old daughter were uninjured Saturday afternoon when their single engine plane made an unscheduled landing in an alfalfa field in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County.

The pilot Bill Wills and his daughter, Jessie, were flying from Smoketown Airport on Route 340 in Lancaster County to New Garden Airport in southern Chester County when the aircraft experienced mechanical problems.

Happy to be alive, the experience isn't one Jessie will soon forget.

Parkeburg Train Service Profiled in Video

The railchannel.com posts a 34 minute video of Amtrak train service between Parkesburg and Bird in Hand with stops in Christiana and Gap in between.

While the video is well documented, it is not the most exciting video ever made.  All in all, a decent 'snapshot' of train service in, through and beyond Parkesburg.
