In the absence of a weekly newspaper to keep us in the loop about what the Octorara School Board is up to, a new blog has appeared to keep all of us informed.
The blog, "Civic Journalist", bills itself as "A news site serving the Octorara and Solanco regions of Lancaster and Chester counties." It's primary focus is on School Board activity and discussions.

Debbie Wygant, who lives in the district (Sadbury, Lancaster County I believe) and does freelance reporting for a couple of the Lancaster newspapers publishes Civic Journalism. I've known Debbie for several years and can vouch for her ability as a reporter and observer of the Octorara School District. She understands our district and always gets the facts right.
Pay the blog a visit and send Debbie an email to express your appreciation for her efforts.

I also do a blog about the school board meetings. You can find it at octorara.blogspot.com. It is usually updated w/in 2 days of the meeting. I'm a little behind this week, due to the length of the meeting this week, along with the amount of content provided by the math consultants.
