The Curious Case Of The Still Missing Parkesburg Fountain

The Parkesburg Fountain sat on this base across from Rocco and Anna's until it mysterious disappearance several years ago

I came across this picture of the Parkesburg Fountain taken by former Parkesburg Councilperson Tom Curtin this morning and thought I would ask again.
Who took the fountain, where it is now, and can we get it back?
Just asking...

Was the fountain operational or just ornamental before it went missing? It's tough for me to tell from the photo, is it black and white or blue and white? Just curious.

The fountain belonged to someone in Parkesburg. Think hard and you can figure this out. They screwed with this person one too many times and decided they would take it back because it does not belong to Parkesburg and they are tired of doing for Parkesburg and getting screwed. Get a collection plate and buy a new fountain and stop crying about this one because you will not be getting it back.

The old, "I am taking my ball and going home" wins again.

The fountain was ornamental before it was removed. I may be wrong but I don't believe it was connected to a water line.

To "they are tired of doing for Parkesburg and getting screwed": I'm sorry this person feels so bitter towards the town to remove the fountain and but leave the base to remind us of the piece of Parkesburg's history that once graced Main Street. So many good memories growing up in the town and undoubtedly countless hours and dollars spent making the town better. To think any one person harbors this much bitterness gives me pause.
