The Civil Air Patrol, a U.S. Air Force auxiliary, offers youths ages 12 to 18
years opportunities in aerospace education, search and rescue,
leadership training, disaster relief and other community activities.
Participants learn survival skills, participate in aviation-related
activities and learn leadership skills. Pilots and other adults are
welcome to visit and learn about opportunities for volunteers.
Chester
County Squadron 1008 meets Thursdays from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at Westwood
Fire Hall five minutes east of Parkesburg along Route 372, with the exception of
the second Thursday of the month, when the group meets at the Chester
County Airport.
