New Grocery Store Opens On First

One of several rows of canned goods
Last week, with little fanfare, Al and Carol Seawell of Main Street, opened their long planned grocery store and sandwich shop.

Stocking staples such as bread, milk and lunch meat together with canned goods and an assortment of fresh vegetables, Seawell Market makes it easy to avoid long lines and parking hassles of shopping at WalMart or making a quick stop at Turkey Hill.

In addition, the market also offer made-to-order sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as seating for up to 20.

Seawell's is perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and read the paper at the start of the day or unwind with friends and family at the end of a long day.

Although they've been open less than two weeks, the store already has a steady stream of regular customers including seniors living at Westminster Place and people renting rooms at the Parkesburg Arms directly across First Avenue from the market.

Al Seawell spends time with a friend
Carol Seawell, who along with her husband Al is the force behind the market, states the best part of their experience thus far is meeting many Parkesburg residents whom she had never met before.

Carol and Al invite everyone to stop in for breakfast or a loaf of bread on their way home from work.  Tell them you read about the market on Parkesburg Today and wish the Seawell's good luck!

Seawell Market Hours:  7 AM to 7 PM daily, until 9 PM on Friday, no Sunday hours
