Octorara 2nd Grader Wins State Senator's Essay Contest

Leah Davis a 2nd grader at Octorara Primary Learning Center was chosen as one of the winning entries of the Spring 2011 Student Pennsylvania Essay Challenge Competition for her essay about cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay.

The contest, sponsored by Senator Michael Brubaker, asked students to share their thoughts about, "How can we do our part to help clean up the Chesapeake Bay?"

Leah and was invited to the State Capitol on June 7, 2011 to meet Senator Brubaker and for a tour of the Capitol, lunch, and the opportunity to see the Pennsylvania Senate in Session.
