First Avenue Church Plans SummerFest

SummerFest will once again feature Unsearchable Riches, which includes Jeremy Sorensen (left), keyboardist and lead vocalist, and Justin Scruggs, drummer.

This from the Community Courier about the Summerfest celebration planed for next weekend in the field next to the Church of the Open Bible on First Avenue.
The fifth annual SummerFest will be held in Parkesburg on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Church of the Open Bible. The free event is open to the entire community, with activities for all ages.
Music will be the biggest part of SummerFest, with contemporary Christian music featured on two stages throughout the day. The headline band will once again be Unsearchable Riches from Columbia, Md. 

This group has performed at all of the previous SummerFest events and has been very popular with the crowds. The band will be on stage at approximately 7:20 p.m., offering piano driven, pop-rock music with lots of energy.

Opening for Unsearchable Riches at approximately 5 p.m. will be Calling Out Closer, a nationally touring band from Reading. There will also be a number of local bands. Some of those included in the full day of music will be the Lee Arter Band, Blue Grace, The Roadies, Zarephath, B-Attitudes, At the Altar from the Church of the Open Bible, Fall from Grace, Jiggley Jones, Neal and Jordan Walsh, and the drama team from the Towerville Christian Church.
