Just when Americans thought they were rounding the corner towards economic stability, big oil rolled out their latest round of price spirals.
Since the the first of the year gas price in Pennsylvania have climbed from $3.15 per gallon to an average price of $3.78 per gallon, a nifty 20% increase, with most of the increase coming since the middle of February.

At this rate $4.00 a gallon can't be far away.
As of Friday night Xpress Stop at the corner of First Avenue and Route 10 had their regular unleaded priced at $3.79 a gallon. Across the street Turkey Hill was offering the same gallon for $3.75.
Parkesburg drivers are not alone. As the maps below illustrate car owners state wide and across the entire nation are paying record prices at the pumps.
