While French Emperor Napoleon wasn't thinking of Parkesburg past when he uttered these words 200 years ago, newcomers and old-timers in town alike have asked the same question about Parkesburg' past.
'Who founded Parkesburg?' or "How did Parkesburg get its start?'
So here is the most complete and detailed history of Parkesburg yet written. Created by Maris W. Mullen and published in the Parkesburg Post in the Fall of 1950.
