District Receives $120,000 From State


Thanks to Ellen Brown, we have notes from this past Monday evening's School Board work session.

The highlights of the meeting, as reported by Ellen, are:
  • Octorara received an additional $120,000 from the State for Basic Education funding.
  • Renovations at the high school are finishing up and contractors expect all work will be completed by  August 22nd.
  • High school students participating in band or choir will not have regularly scheduled music classes.
  • District administrators are exploring hosting a Fall harvest festival in October.
  • Business Manager Dan Carsley announced that the District's solicitor deemed Act 319 constitutional.
